Soudafoam 2K X-tra

Description
Soudafoam 2K is a two-component, selfexpanding, ready to use polyurethane foam. It contains CFC-free propellants, which are
completely harmless to the ozone layer. In combination with the Soudal Mega Adaptor the yield of cured foam is increased by 75%. Due to the
fact that the postexpansion after extrusion is limited the application is much more efficient as there is less need of cutting off cured surplus foam.
Characteristics
- Professional quality
- Fast curing, not dependant on atmospheric moisture
- Excellent adhesion on most materials (except PE/PP)
- High thermal and acoustical isolation
- Excellent fixing capacities
- Very high adhesive strength
- High form stability (no shrinking or postexpansion)
- Can be trimmed after 30 minutes (20°C)
Applications
- Installing of window- and doorframes
- Filling of cavities
- Sealing of all openings in roof constructions
- Creation of a soundproof screen
- Application of a soundproofing layer on motors
- Improving thermal isolation in cooling systems
Directions for use
Can temperature should be between +10°C and +25°C. surfaces have to be dust and grease free. Moisten surface. Turn lower disk 5 times to the right; the B-component is now released. Shake the can at least 20 times with the valve pointed downwards. Apply foam applicator onto the valve. Extrude the foam with the valve pointed downwards. The extruded
foam must be uniformly light green. If necessary , repeat shaking. Fill the joint for 50% as the foam will expand.
Empty the can in 5 minutes, after this period the foam will cure inside the can. Repeat shaking regularly during application. If you have to work in layers repeat moistening after each layer. Fresh
foam can be removed using Soudal Foamcleaner or acetone. Cured foam can only be removed mechanically. Working temperature 5°C to 35°C.
(20°C-25°C recommended).
Remarks
- Once the 2 components are mixed, empty the can completely within 5
minutes
- Always moisten surfaces in order to improve curing and cellular
structure
- Cured PU-foam must be protected from UV-radiation by painting or
applying a top layer of sealants (silicone, MS Polymer, Acrylics)
