Description
Soudaseal 225 is a high quality, single component joint sealant based on hybrid polymer technology.
Characteristics
- Tested and conforms to ISO11600 F-25LM
- Excellent adhesion onto almost any surface
- Excellent toolability and extrudability even at low temperatures
- Permanently elastic – movement accommodation up to +/-25%
- No bubble formation within sealant, even at high temperatures and
very humid condtions.
- Primerless application onto most surfaces (except in applications
which are permanently exposed to water)
- Excellent resistance to UV radiation and to all
weather conditions
- Ecological advantages: does not contain isocyanates, silicone,
solvent or acids
- Can be painted with most water based paints
Applications
- Expansion- and connection joints in the construction industry.
- Sealing of prefab constructions, perimeter sealant around window and
door frames,…
- Applications which need to be coated (with waterbased coatings)
Directions for use
Method: Manual- or pneumatic caulking gun
Application temperature: +5°C until +35°C
Cleaning: White Spirit or Surface Cleaner immediately after application and before curing
Tooling: soapy solution before skin formation
Repair with: Soudaseal 225
Remarks
- Soudaseal 225 may be painted with water based paints. However due
to the large number of paints and varnishes available we strongly
suggest a compatibility test before application. The drying time of
alkyd resin based paints may increase
- Soudaseal 225 can be applied to a wide variety of substrates. Due
to the fact that specific substrates such as plastics, polycarbonate,
etc, may differ from manufacturer to manufacturer, we recommend
preliminary compatibility test.
- Soudaseal 225 is not suitable for glazing applications
